Morning routines
Morning routines are abound on the Internet, but the problem is they probably won't work for you. We don't all have the same needs, every day is not the same and every environment is different. So maybe it's better to think of the routine as a tool which you can use depending on the problem.
Some of the routines:
- waking up early (like 4:30 AM)
- morning meditation
- morning brain dump
- cold shower
- straight to work
Straight to work
This is great method when you have a lot of work to do that you don't feel like starting. This way you'll start working before you get this I-don't-wanna feeling.
Morning meditation
This works for me only when I don't have any work waiting for me. Otherwise it feels like lost time. I can recommend this for vacations or slow days.
Morning brain dump
Like meditaion, it works when you're relaxed.
Cold shower
A great way to remove stress and get out of rut. Start the day with a cold shower, it's scary but then the rest of day cannot get worse.
Waking up early
This doesn't work for me. I'm just tired. Also, I can't get to sleep at 8PM to get 8 hours of sleep.
